When confronted with the Everyday Life, task, I chose to wait for an opportunity to travel nearly a thousand miles somewhere work would never send me, to witness a historic and literally explosive event and celebrate the achievements of my employer without having to work myself. Then by the time the servicing mission launch was delayed through winter, I had already made plans I could not cancel. Hopefully I will manage to include explosions into space in some other task when I return with half of my co-workers for another launch attempt in four or five months. Still, some friends I rarely get to see and intended to watch the launch with had moved around their Halloween party and precious vacation time for me. I packed my bags with Adventuring attire and ridiculous party costumes for a budget flight to Florida, intending to party, visit Disney World for the first time in twenty years, and wander about in the parks and suburbs in Orlando, catching up on their everyday life.
